Ping Pong Revenge

PRODUCTION FACTS

Ping Pong Revenge was filmed for $18; which we spent on a DV tape, a Pizza and 4 bottles of water. Ronnie B. Goodwin edited, scored, and did the special effects in one day.

This short was filmed on a VERY VERY HOT day (42c) in Nazareth, Israel, from 7am till 7pm under the blazing sun. The cast and crew got severely burned, the camera broke down, the sound kit broke down (not that we needed it) and our props melted.

We
managed to find a ping-pong table and two actors at 2am the night before.

For the crew it was a very exciting experience since non of them (apart from Basil) have done this before -not even the 'actors'. We all had a great time and a good laugh filming it. Matthew, (the American) asked two of his friends to act in it and be part of the crew. My sister Nussi did make-up, and logged the shots.

We shot all the scenes in sequence due to the fact that the actors have never acted before. Shooting out of sequence would confuse them. Once we finished (around
3pm) we found out that the camera was broke, so we had to re-shoot the whole thing from the start. But this time the actors knew what they were doing and it went much quicker.

I called it a warp at 7pm. By then I was craving for a watermelon. I love Israeli Watermelons, they’re simply the best!
